Using Avatars (pics attached to your user name).

You can attach an Avatar, (image), to your user name in three ways. You must first be registered as a user though obviously.

The procedure is as follows, after you have logged on as usual,

Click on the User Details section of the forum header. That will take you to your own profile section. In the left hand side of the screen in this section are a number of options you can select to edit your own details.

Click on the Avatar text. That will take you to a screen where you will have the choice of one of three options. Pick Library Image, Upload, or Link. Images that can be used must have one of the following file extensions.  .gif, .png, .jpg. Avatars will be restricted in size to 100 pixels by 100 pixels. Looks like the forum system will enable to to upload or link a bigger file, but my recommendation, to speed loading time, is to resize your image, using your own preferred graphics program, to no bigger than 100 x 100. There are a number of avatars in various groups in the library selection or you may upload an avatar from a directory on your own PC, or link it, I guess, to an image on the web although there might be copyright issues with this last option. Once the picture has been loaded it will appear in a box.

Click on the image to highlight it.

Click on Select Avatar, and you are done.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions if more help is needed.
